A man has been charged with terrorist offences involving a group in East Africa. Jermaine Grant, 43, of no fixed address, is accused of directing the activities of the Somali-based terrorist organisation Al-Shabaab.
He has also been charged with three counts of attending an Al-Shabaab commando training camp in Kismayu, Somalia, and two counts of possessing an AK47 for terrorist purposes. All charges relate to activity alleged to have taken place between December 31, 2007, and January 1, 2010.
