In 1993, two experts in the X-ray generation field identified a gap in the market. They realized that the X-ray industry lacked high-quality, lightweight, and effective portable X-ray generators that could benefit a wide range of users. Over the next few years, they worked on designing and producing the first-ever portable X-ray generator – the SITEX C3003.
What started as a small company built from the ground up, ICM (Industrial Control Machine) has now become the world leader in portable X-ray generators for the NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) market and a major player in the EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) security niche.
Thanks to this tremendous success, ICM reached new heights in 2015 when it became a proud member of Teledyne Technologies Inc. (NYSE: TDY). In 2021, Teledyne ICM introduced its first in-house bundle, including a flat-panel detector, a lightweight and portable X-ray generator, and user-friendly software.
PORTABLE X-RAY GENERATORS
Our portable constant potential X-ray generators (CP120B, CP160B and LiteX) have been specifically developed to provide EOD operators with the most efficient solution for the assessment of any potential threats.
Compared to other generators available on the market, the CP120B, CP160B and the LiteX offer a constant X-ray beam that dramatically reduces the exposure time required to accurately analyze a suspicious package.
Paired with Teledyne ICM’s TactX & TactXL detectors, they deliver sharp, clear, and detailed images of any suspicious object, allowing fast and accurate decision-making in time-critical moments.
PORTABLE X-RAY DETECTORS
Experts in various fields such as EOD, customs, and law enforcement agencies are constantly seeking lighter, more compact, and increasingly mobile X-ray solutions.
The high-resolution TactX and TactXL detectors have been specially customized with reduced dead zones, improved connectivity features, and enhanced image quality.
With the increasing use of EOD robots and the constant weight of 36 kg / 80 lbs bomb suits, extra-light equipment is a godsend for many operators. Compact and lightweight (2.9 kg / 6.4 lbs and 4.3 kg / 8.1 lbs), the TactX and TactXL panels are the ideal choice for inspections in narrow places or areas that are difficult to reach.
The flat panel, generator, and tablet can easily fit into a single backpack, enabling the end-user to carry this carbon-based detection equipment with ease and comfort.
