A man in his 50s has been arrested following a security alert in Co Londonderry. Homes in the Ranaghan Road area close to Maghera were evacuated and nearby roads closed following the discovery of a suspicious device in the area on Tuesday.
The incident has now ended but police remain at the scene and enquiries are continuing. A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the alert.
