Texas: Man accused of keeping explosive components inside South Austin home now facing federal charge


The man who was allegedly making bombs inside a South Austin home is now facing a federal charge. Last week, members of the Austin Police Department’s Bomb Squad unit had to detonate explosive materials found inside the home on Vintage Stave Road.

Following the detonation, police arrested 66-year-old Steven Aldrich, who was living inside the home with his mother. He was charged by police for allegedly possessing “components of explosives.”
