Cambodia: EU commits to enhancing security collaboration


The European Union (EU) has committed to enhance collaboration on a host of measures to maintain the Kingdom’s security. This was communicated during a work discussion meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sar Sokha and EU Ambassador to Cambodia Igor Driesmans at the ministry headquarters on Monday.

Ambassador Driesmans and Sokha also explored ways to seek potential bilateral relations enhancement, as well as collaboration in various areas including airport security, labour migration, and transnational crime. They also discussed issues related to human rights and democracy, a statement from the EU office in Cambodia noted.
