Cambodia: UNESCAP to support national mine action policy


Ly Thuch, first vice-president of the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA), said the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) would support the body in formulating national policy on mine action and holding major national and international forums associated with mine action.

Ly Thuch met with UN deputy secretary-general and UNESCAP executive secretary Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana on November 12 to strengthen the partnership between the government and UNESCAP in Phnom Penh.
