A ‘key point’ has been reached in the construction of a £6m extension at Nuneaton’s army barracks. The works will pave the way for Gamecock Barracks to play home to an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Troop.
It is relocating from Chetwynd Barracks in Nottingham, to Gamecock Barracks, which is known locally as Bramcote Barracks. The MOD has confirmed that a topping-out ceremony has been held ahead of building work starting.
