Dalmarnock bomb disposal incident: Second device found in Clyde brings EOD back to bridge


A bomb disposal squad have returned to Dalmarnock Road for the second time today following the discovery of a grenade and artillery rounds in the River Clyde.

Dalmarnock Bridge in the east end of the city was closed off to traffic around 1.40pm today and residents nearby evacuated by police.

The discovery was made by members of Glasgow Magnet Fishing group and footage shared by the group showed the items found being placed in a nearby grit bin.

Police Scotland confirmed they were dealing with an “unexploded ordnance device”.
