UK: Former soldier admits making explosives at his Derbyshire home


A former soldier, who served his country for 15 years, has admitted making and possessing explosives. Dressed in a black hoodie and a grey t-shirt, Peter Galvin pleaded guilty to three different counts he appeared from custody at Derby Crown Court.

The 43-year-old also admitted assaulting an emergency worker – a police officer – but denied making threats to kill and criminal damage which the prosecution said they would not be proceeding with.
