Firefighters were called to reports of explosions near The O2 in London – which was part of a “pre-planned filming event” but “spread out of control”.
There is no risk to the public, police say, while the London Fire Brigade (LFB) said the scene was under control by 9.02pm, little more than an hour after they were called. “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire at an open-air yard on Dock Road in Silvertown,” LFB said. “One van was destroyed by the fire and most of a car and lorry were damaged by the fire. There are currently no reports of any injuries.”
