A man and a teenager arrested after a suspected explosive object was discovered at an Isle of Wight address, have been bailed by the police.
Officers were called to an address in Cockleton Lane, Gurnard, at 5.30pm on Tuesday (March 11). It followed concerns about an object that had been found. “Specialist officers subsequently attended and removed the object for safe disposal,” said a Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson. A 57-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of possession of an explosive substance for unlawful purpose.
