The bomb squad was called out after an unexploded device was found by a boat dredging the water of the Firth of Forth.
The boat was evacuated as a precaution after returning to Western Harbour in the Newhaven area of Edinburgh at about 10:30 on Friday. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “HM Coastguard and EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) were contacted.
