Texas: Midland County Fire Marshal’s discover World War II training bombs


World War II training bombs were discovered in South Midland County Thursday, according to the Midland County Fire Marshal’s Office.

The Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) from the Midland County Fire Marshal’s Office along with the EOD Team with the City of Midland secured the area where the items were found and determined them to be training bombs. The office said the discovery serves as a reminder of how significant a role the Midland Army Airfield played during that time.
