Targeted victim in Maryland bomb attack recovering, as police continue probe


Federal and municipal authorities say a home-made bomb that injured a 28-year-old Carroll County, Maryland man on Friday – just south of the Pennsylvania line – was dropped off at his home and addressed to him.

The 28-year-old unnamed man may have been the intended victim in the attack, but Carroll County Sheriff James DeWees said there is nothing to suggest that the public at large is in danger.

“Nothing indicates that it’s the beginning of something,” DeWees said at a news conference on Monday. “Right now, we don’t believe that there are any other packages out there that would indicate that it is other than an isolated incident.”
