Sweden: Suspected explosion caused car fires in Malmö


A suspected detonation occurred in a car in Malmö on Sunday night. When police arrived at the scene, the car was on fire, but the damage to the car makes it looks like there was an explosion.

Another car was destroyed in the fire. The site is now cordoned off for technical examination. The police are investigating the case as public destruction and a violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods. It is not yet possible to say whether it could be gang-related.The way it looks with the car parts that have come loose, it is suspected that it may have been related to a detonation.
