The National Police Commission (Napolcom) on Friday committed the agency’s full support for the capability enhancement of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Explosives and Ordnance Division/Canine Group (EOD/K9 Group).
Napolcom Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer Rafael Vicente Calinisan made this pledge during a landmark visit to the EOD/K9 Group headquarters at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City — the first by any sitting Napolcom commissioner. In a speech, Calinisan cited the units’ indispensable role in national security, anti-terrorism operations, and public safety.
