Pakistan: Terrorist attack in Lakki Marwat kills one, injures police official


A fresh wave of violence struck Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as terrorists attacked the Gandi Chowk police station in Lakki Marwat, killing one civilian and injuring a police official. According to police, the deceased was identified as Ahmad Khan, a watchman at a nearby market. The assailants launched the attack late at night and fled the scene after a prompt counter-response from security forces.

This incident adds to the recent surge in terrorist activity in the region. Just days earlier, on April 23, terrorists targeted a wildlife park building near Karam Bridge in Lakki Marwat. An improvised explosive device (IED), planted a day before the attack, caused substantial damage to the park’s office, destroying furniture and valuable items. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in that incident.
