Ohio: ATF, EPD bomb squad find explosives and booby traps in Evansville home


The bomb squad and federal agents found booby traps, materials to make explosives and an explosive device in an Evansville home, police said.

Special agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives were contacted by detectives with the Evansville Police Department Bomb Squad after they received information that an Evansville man may have explosives.

On Thursday, two ATF agents went to the home of  Anthony Ogden, 52, to investigate.

According to an EPD probable cause affidavit, the agents saw a suspicious device mounted to the window next to the front door. An EPD detective identified the device as a “booby trap.”
