Troops of the Nigerian Army have apprehended a suspected arms and explosives dealer while taking 180 20mm Super Power explosive materials to terrorists in Katsina forest. The man was arrested by troops of 1 Brigade at a checkpoint in Zurmi, Zamfara State, following intelligence on his movement.
It was gathered that on Friday, August 14, the troops intercepted the man along the road and during a search on his vehicle, they recovered the items. When questioned, he was said to have told the soldiers that the materials were being transported from Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State for delivery to terrorist elements operating in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.
