Nigeria: Security agents comb Anambra forests, recover bombs


The joint security operatives in Anambra State have recovered nine locally made Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs and four walkie-talkies while combining some forests in Ogbaru local government area in search of hoodlums attacking security formations in the state.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Tochukwu Ikenga said forests in Amiyi and Ochuche in the local government were combed for the insurgents, adding that several camps there were found and destroyed. According to Ikenga, the recovered devices from the camps have been safely defused by the Police Bomb Squad.
