Nigeria: Imo police arrest suspected IPOB bomb maker, recover weapons

The police in Imo State, on Friday, disclosed the arrest of a 50-year-old suspected to be a bomb maker for the Indigenous People of Biafra.

A statement issued by the police spokesperson, Micheal Abattam, in Owerri, the state capital, disclosed that the suspect, Simeon Onigbo, was allegedly responsible for the making of Improvised Explosive Devices which gunmen were using to attack police formations in the state.

According to Abattam, the suspect was arrested at Uba Umuaka in the Njaba Local Government Area of the state after police raided the place following a tip-off.
