Five men have been arrested after gardaí recovered a total of 19 petrol bombs from a car they had stopped in Co Kildare.
Four men were arrested when detective gardaí attached to Leixlip Garda Station intercepted the car in the Carbury area at approximately 11.30pm. As they were carrying out the operation, gardaí were confronted by a fifth man, in his late 40s, who was armed with a knife.
