India: Police in Deoghar seize detonators, gelatin sticks, other explosives


Deoghar police seized over 2175 detonators, 88574 gelatin sticks, 15,000 electronic detonators, 98750 electronic detectors, two Bolero pick up vans, one Maruti 800 and others explosives in Sirsiya hills within limits of Khaga police station in Deoghar, said Deoghar SP Piyush Pandey.

Police said while the explosives found in Sirsiya hills were being used for illegal stone mining in Deoghar, they are probing a possible terror angle or naxal attack.

Six men including Babloo Ansari, Prakash Rai,Umesh Mandal, Pradeep Rajwansi, Jamuna Murmu and Sunil Murmu were accused in the case and a case has been lodged at Khaga police station.
