It was a close call in Holt Saturday. The bomb squad from the Florida Bureau of Fire, Arson, and Explosives was called in to remove what was believed to be an unused explosive target. It was found on Poplar Head Church Road in Holt.
According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, the device was found in a rural area that’s a common location for people to shoot firearms. The bomb squad from Pensacola collected the item for disposal. No one was hurt.
