Bomb disposal experts were called after a Second World War-era explosive device was fished out of a river in Tewkesbury.
Officers from Gloucestershire Constabulary were called after Aaron Lewis from Cheltenham discovered the device while he was magnet fishing along the River Severn at Lower Lode Lane at about 9.10am.
Bomb squad officers were called and a 50metre exclusion zone was set up before a controlled explosion took place at about 12.30pm.
