San Jose police arrested three men and seized more than 3,300 pounds of illegal fireworks in a series of recent raids, SJPD said Friday.
San Jose residents David Benito-Carbajal, 31, Juan Rocha, 52, and Javier Martinez, 26, were arrested and booked into Santa Clara County jail on suspicion of multiple felonies related to the possession of destructive devices and illegal fireworks, police said. On June 23, SJPD’s Special Operations Division served search warrants at multiple locations in the city, resulting in the seizure of more than 2,000 pounds of illegal fireworks and more than 50 improvised explosive devices, police said.
