British Columbia: Bomb squad handles suspicious package in Kamloops neighbourhood


RCMP had a portion of a residential street in the Aberdeen area closed Tuesday morning, July 4, due to what has been been confirmed to be the presence of a pipe bomb.

Officers were on scene in the 900-block of Greystone Crescent shortly after receiving a report of a suspicious package, that appeared to be a homemade explosive, found near the roadway at about 7:30 p.m. the night before, according to British Columbia RCMP. A police robot was deployed and picked up the suspected bomb.
