Arkansas: Pipe bombs, explosive device components found at residence


A joint investigation by the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) recently uncovered homemade explosive devices and explosive components at a residence in northern Baxter County, a news release from Sheriff John Montgomery states.

The investigation came about because of a complaint call of a possible overdose that the Sheriff’s Office responded to Saturday afternoon to the residence of Michael Cody Everett at 363 County Road 1419, the news release states.

As Deputy Brian Williams was arriving on the scene, he was met by two women in a white car who were waiving at him frantically, the news release reports. One of the women reportedly stated she had suffered burns on her hands and face from black powder that had exploded.
