Architta the sniffer dog, attached to the K9 Unit Provincial Extortion Task Team, helped detect a explosive device in Hout Bay.
According to police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg, members of the K9 Unit were informed of an explosive device at a solid waste drop-off facility in the area on Wednesday afternoon.
“The explosive detection dog Architta was used for an investigative search for the device. The dog reacted positively to the presence of possible live explosives in the device,” Twigg added.
