Attention, all units! Be sure to complete your unit’s chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear (CBRN) self-assessment. CBRN training is critical to ensuring continued readiness for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear events—and weapons of mass destruction (WMDs).
With WMD threats on the rise, Coast Guard members must stay vigilant and remain Semper Paratus, always ready. Coast Guard policy mandates that all CBRN-equipped units conduct annual CBRN drills, conduct fit testing, and complete Audits, Inspections, and Assessment (AIA) compliance requirements. While CBRN is not a statutory mission of the service, continued readiness is critical to the Service’s ability to support and protect the American people in the event of an intentional, accidental, or natural release of dangerous substances.
