The start of 2026 brought new achievements for the sappers of the Support Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: they cleared more than 150 hectares of front-line territories of explosive devices.
According to the head of the Communications Department of the Command of the Support Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Maxim Kravchuk, for the engineering troops, conducting combat demining has been, is, and remains the number one priority on the agenda. This includes combat demining, making passages through enemy mine-and-explosive obstacles, installing engineering barriers, and arranging fortifications and defensive lines.
