UK: 30m cordon set up after unexploded bomb found at Shoebury East Beach


A huge 30 metre cordon is in place as police deal with a suspected unexploded bomb.

The large field off East Beach in Shoebury is closed due to the incident.

Police and Southend Coastguards officers are on the scene. Coastguard officers put up the cordon and say the incident is now being dealt with by Essex Police.

A Southend Coastguard spokesman said: “Whilst awaiting Police attendance at East Beach, Southend Coastguard put in a 30m safety cordon to ensure the publics safety as is popular location for dog walkers.
