Tennessee: Man arrested after improvised explosive device recovered from S. Nashville dumpster


A man faces serious charges following a South Nashville hazmat incident involving an explosive device. Specialized Investigations detectives arrested 37-year-old Brandon Lamar Holt late Saturday night in the 3200 block of Nolensville Pike.

Metro Nashville Police Department said he used gasoline to make an explosive device and leave it in a dumpster at the Mapco store, 2200 Nolensville Pike, just after 7:30 p.m. on Friday night. State and federal agencies who responded to the scene confirmed the object to be an improvised explosive device.
