A landmine blast in Mogadishu targeted a vehicle belonging to Muhiyadin Hassan Afrah, a former member of the Somali parliament.
The blast took place in Karaan district, injuring the lawmaker’s bodyguards who were traveling in the car, and reports say that Muhiyadi was not in his car at the time of the blast.
The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police station, killing one police officer and wounding two others, according to witnesses. No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
