An arrest of a Wilkes-Barre man in late December on allegations he attempted to make an explosive device was based on online searches of recent terroristic attacks using homemade explosives and online purchases of syringes and other materials, according to an unsealed criminal complaint.
Saleh Edwards, 24, of Saint Clair Street, remains jailed without bail at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility since his Dec. 21 arrest on the charge of criminal attempt to possess or manufacture weapons of mass destruction. Edwards’ preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 4.
