The law-enforcement agencies on Wednesday foiled an attempt to carry out a car-bomb attack in the city and seized an explosives-laden car from a parking lot near a police station in the Eastern Bypass area.
“Over 35 kilograms of high explosives were placed in the car for carrying out car suicide bombing in the provincial capital,” a senior police official said, adding that after defusing the explosives, the car was seized.
