Oklahoma: OHP Bomb Squad Disarm ‘Improvised Explosive Device’ In Chelsea

The OHP bomb squad has disarmed an ‘improvised explosive device’ in Chelsea Thursday night.

Rogers County Deputies said they were searching for 57-year-old Thomas John Smith for burglary when they found and arrested him under a bridge near 6th and Willow on Thursday.

They said he had what looked like an explosive device with him.

The OHP bomb squad was called in to take care of the device. They said he had fireworks, matches, glass shards and liquid vials as an explosive device. They said it “was definitely something he planned to use as a weapon.”
