Oklahoma City police find explosives in car during traffic stop


Two men were arrested in Oklahoma City after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and explosives. According to the Oklahoma Police Department (OKCPD), on Oct. 14, officers pulled over a maroon GMC for failure to use a turn signal and an expired tag.

Officers ran the driver and a passenger’s information through the crime information unit. The driver was on federal probation, and the passenger had seven city warrants. Both parties were removed from the vehicle to conduct a search. Inside the car. During the search officers found a duffel bag with a white towel inside. Wrapped up in the towel was a PVC pipe wrapped in brown paper with a green fuse coming out of it. OCKPD Bomb Squad was contacted and responded to the scene.
