Ohio man charged with possessing explosives


Loud explosions in Guernsey County prompted multiple law enforcement agencies to descend upon a home just south of Cambridge this week.

According to the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office, multiple agencies were called to the area of Campbell Street, in Cambridge Township outside of city limits, just before 11 p.m. Monday. Authorities were responding to reports of explosions that were described as sounds of dynamite. Authorities initially found fireworks and suspected explosive materials and, due to the nature of the items found, the Franklin County Bomb Squad was called to assist shortly after midnight.
