Major Orji died as a result of explosive device (IEDs) at Orsumoghu, Ihiala, in Anambra state.
Source said, the team were on a mission in Ihiala, to detonate explosive devices (IEDs), that were planted in the village by unknown gunmen.
He also said that other soldiers sustained decrees of injuries but Major Orji died Immediately as a result of the explosion. “The team has detonated some devices but there is this particular one that was difficult to detonate, it is at the point that Major Orji, came to assist but unfortunately the device exploded killing him and causing injuries to the other soldiers,” source said.
