Nigeria: Soldier killed by IED as troops engage ISWAP terrorists


The Nigerian Army on Friday said at least five Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) fighters were reportedly killed during an aggressive clearance operation in Yobe State, northeast Nigeria. However, one soldier was also reportedly killed.

The troops of 27 Task Force Battalion, Sector 2 Operation Hadin Kai, reportedly naturalised the terrorists during a gun battle at Mulumti General Area of Buni Gari, while many were said to have escaped with gunshot wounds.
