The Police Command in Borno State said it successfully defused an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the entrance of the University of Maiduguri on Monday.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Nahum Daso, confirmed the incident in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Maiduguri. Daso said that around 9.00a.m., on Monday, December 4, a suspicious device was noticed near the main gate of the institution.
