Nigeria: A wave of coordinated attacks hit Borno, Zamfara and Plateau states


At least 11 persons have been confirmed dead following a wave of coordinated attacks involving terrorists and armed gunmen in Borno, Zamfara, and Plateau states, with several others injured in the separate incidents.

In Borno State, two soldiers were killed when ISWAP fighters attacked a military Forward Operating Base in Magumeri, while troops said they repelled the assault and inflicted heavy casualties on the attackers. In Zamfara State, an Improvised Explosive Device explosion along the Bagega–Anka road killed six persons and injured six others, while separate military operations in the state left two suspected terrorists dead.
