On 30 April 2026 at 8:05 PM, a report stated that a child with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Lashio Township Public Hospital in Shan State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Mg Sai Nyi Nyi (eight years old), a resident of Nar Moon Village in Lashio Township.
According to the investigation, on the same day at 6:00 PM, while the victim stepped on an improvised explosive device planted near a mango tree in his yard by the TNLA terrorist group, resulting in his injuries.
