Michigan: Bomb squad responds after deputies find IED while serving warrant


Deputies serving a search warrant called in the bomb squad after they found an improvised explosive device inside the residence, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The Cass County Drug Enforcement team executed a search warrant at a home in the 70000 block of Irving Drive in Ontwa Township on Friday.

Two people at the residence were detained while the search was conducted.

Deputies located an improvised explosive device while searching the home. They halted the search, called in the bomb squad and evacuated nearby residents, reports said.
