Kenya: Fourteen KDF Soldiers Injured in IED Attack in Lamu


Fourteen Kenyan soldiers sustained injuries on Monday when their military vehicle struck an improvised explosive device (IED) along the Baure-Drum major supply route in Lamu County. The devastating incident has once again brought to light the ongoing threat posed by al Shabaab terrorists operating within the Boni Forest.

The soldiers were on a routine patrol mission when their Kenya Army technical vehicle was struck by the concealed IED, which was planted by al Shabaab insurgents.
