Irish troops serving in Mali narrowly dodge al qaeda suicide bomb attack

Irish troops serving as UN peacekeepers in Mali avoided being caught up in an al qaeda suicide bomb attack at their base in which 15 other soldiers were injured.

Miraculously there were no fatalities when the jihadi terrorist drove a white pick-up truck into the makeshift camp and detonated an estimated 100kg of explosives last weekend.
