On Monday, 27 October 2025, as part of its ongoing efforts, the Iraqi Kurdistan Mine Action Agency (IKMAA) Slemani Office, through the Committee for the Handover of Cleared Minefields, officially handed over a piece of land that was formerly a farm named “Mahmoud Khan.” The land is located in the village of Qrga, within the Tanjaro subdistrict of Slemani.
The cleared minefield spans 132,464 m². The operation was conducted by IKMAA teams in Slemani, with logistical support from the Slovenian International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance (ITF), which facilitated the transportation of the teams.
