Meghalaya Police on Monday evening carried out two separate counter-insurgency operations in the West Garo Hills district and recovered a grenade, ammunition and two IEDs.
During an operation, the Meghalaya Police in West Garo Hills recovered one live grenade and 6 numbers of live 7.62 mm ammunition.
While confirming the news, the West Garo Hills Police in a tweet on Monday said the counter-insurgency operation was carried out in Du’magitok village, located approximately 15 km from Tura, the headquarters of the West Garo Hills district.
In a Counter-Insurgency Operation conducted today, West Garo Hills Police recovered one live grenade and 6 nos. live 7.62mm ammunition from Du'magitok village located approx. 15 kms from Tura.
