A jawan from the CRPF’s elite CoBRA unit sustained injuries after an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by Naxals exploded in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district on Saturday, reported news agency PTI.
According to officials, the incident occurred when a team from the 206th battalion of the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) had set out from the Pujari Kanker camp for an area domination exercise under the Usoor police station limits. While the team was conducting a cordon operation in the forest, one of the commandos accidentally triggered the hidden explosive, resulting in minor injuries.
